What we will study:

This course focuses on the functions of marketing, their relationships, and the marketing process for goods services and ideas involving sports and entertainment. You will learn marketing and business concepts through the venue of the sports and entertainment industries. You will design marketing strategies and appropriate products and promotional activities for sports and entertainment events. Other topics covered include marketing research, the marketing mix, target markets, demographics, risk management, legal issues, and insurance matters.

Student Blog (we will create one for those who do not currently have a blog)


Daily work: 50%Projects/Exams: 30%Tests/Quizzes: 20%

Class Participation/Group Projects:

All students are expected to participate actively during class. In addition, students are expected to work within teams to complete various projects throughout the course.

Students will be allowed to make-up missing assignments for excuses absences; however it is the student’s responsibility to secure make-up assignments from the instructor and complete them within 5 days of receiving the assignment(s
